The Villa
Casa de la Cueva is a beautifully presented detached villa located on a quiet private road with a large driveway for parking. The accommodation is spacious, light and airy with an elegant mix of traditional arches and rustic charm with stunning country and sea views.
There is an open plan living room with open fireplace, a large open plan kitchen/dining room with amazing views towards the coastline leading out onto a large covered terrace which offers welcome shade in the summer months. The hallway leads to a second reception room (snug) with open fireplace, a perfect room in which to relax and quietly read a book away from the main living room.
On the ground floor there are four spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms. Off of the ground floor hallway the villa has a private feature 'bodega' (wine storage cave) hence it's name Casa de la Cueva (house of the cave).
Living Room
The open plan living room is extremely spacious and airy with comfortable modern furnishings and an attractive open fireplace. Upon entering the living room there is a large arched window which affords the room a stunning back drop towards the coastline views and makes the room extremely light. The main living room has a secondary area with further sofa and chair and a beautiful open fireplace, doors off of the living room lead into the large open plan kitchen/dining room and also out to the extensive covered terrace.

Snug Room
There is a second snug reception room with open fireplace and additional flat screen tv with DVD player and a wide selection of British children’s and family DVDs, very useful for children to use or to quietly read a book. This pretty room leads out to a private terrace with far reaching sea views.
Cloakroom
A modern fitted cloakroom finished with local rustic painted tiles is located off first floor hallway.
Laundry Area
Off of the kitchen is a separate laundry area equipped with washing machine, dryer and additional freezer.
Open plan dining room
The kitchen opens through onto the dining room which has breath taking views and features a large dining table with seating for 10 people and access to the large terrace which runs across the width of the rear side of the villa.

Large family kitchen
The kitchen is fitted to a very high specification with cream high gloss units, fully equipped with integrated Miele and Bosch appliances. American fridge freezer with ice dispenser, two built in ovens, integrated microwave, plate warming oven, hob, wine fridge and dishwasher. The kitchen is very well stocked with a wide range of kitchen equipment for those who enjoy cooking and entertaining and there is a sociable seated breakfast bar between the kitchen and dining room.
Rear covered terrace
Doors off of the dining area open out onto an extensive covered terrace which is the perfect spot for an afternoon siesta or 'al fresco' dining and overlooks the rear gardens. The covered terrace has stunning coastal panoramic views and is extremely spacious with attractive open arches to all three sides making it light and airy. On this terrace there is a large outside dining table, sofas and a Weber gas BBQ.
This terrace leads onto a smaller second terrace again with outside seating and stunning views to the countryside and sea. There are steps to the side of this terrace which lead down to the pool area.

Ground Floor
Stairs from the living room lead down to the ground floor hallway off of which there is an original feature 'bodega' i.e. a wine cellar.
There are four bedrooms which may be made up as doubles or twins as required. We are able to provide additional guests beds for up to 2 more children if required, please ask. Each bedroom is fitted with locally made rustic oak furniture, air conditioning / heater unit and each has a hair dryer.

Master Bedroom
This is a large bedroom with its own large en suite with bath and separate power shower. There is a large built in wardrobe.
Bedroom 2
A spacious room with doors opening out to the terrace pathway surrounding the rear of the villa, this bedroom has a private en suite bathroom.
Bedroom 3
A spacious room with doors opening out to the terrace pathway surrounding the rear of the villa.
Bedroom 4
A lovely bright double room.
Bathrooms
There are 3 bathrooms with a mixture and baths and showers and all are beautifully finished with traditionally painted Andalucían tiles. Two of the bathrooms are en suite, there is a third shower room which serves bedrooms 3 and 4.

Outside
To the rear of the villa there are attractive secluded gardens with a variety of trees and shrubs which again look towards the Mediterranean coast and provide shaded areas in which to relax.
There is a large 8 x 4 metre private pool with large terrace area with sunbeds and a outside seating area a lemon grove. The views again from the pool are far reaching towards sea. Around the villa there are additional outside tables to sit and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the location and relax.
Due to it's mountainside location there are steps located off of the living room leading down to the four bedrooms located on the ground floor and additional steps leading from the side terrace down to the pool area. The villa is not recommended for persons with limited mobility due to the various steps within and outside the villa.

Services
The villa will be clean upon arrival with towels and bed linen made up. The villa is managed by Villas in Mijas who are available to help should you require any assistance in connection with the villa. Beach towels are not provided.
A welcome pack can be bought for you to tide you over upon arrival including basics such as water, bread, butter, milk, orange juice and wine. Please ask for further details.
The pool is cleaned each week to ensure chemicals / cleanliness for your enjoyment.
Security

Insurance
The villa is properly insured for private rental. We would advise that you are responsible for arranging your own insurance for full medical care, for your personal travel protection and for cancellation and curtailment protection. The owners are unable to offer a refund for a holiday not started or cut short for whatever reason. The owners cannot be held responsible for any of the aforementioned or inadequate insurance cover for you and your party.
